Skylight Calendar in the UK: what you actually pay for

Skylight is the best-known family calendar screen, and unlike in most of Europe you can buy one in the UK. The question isn't whether you can get it, but what you're paying for: much of what makes a calendar screen useful — photos, meal planning and email import — sits behind Skylight Plus, a yearly subscription. Here's how Skylight, Hearth, Cozyla and Zenframe Display compare for a UK household, including delivery, plugs and what each one costs once the first year is up.

«The kids are thrilled to tick off tasks, so it was an instant hit. I've started recommending it to everyone.»
Elisabeth, Stjørdal · Zenframe Display since June
«The screen hangs in the hallway, and the whole week is right there without anyone opening an app. I just tell the assistant what to add, and it's there when we head out the door in the morning.»

  • Skylight is sold in the UK — the subscription is the catch. Skylight's international orders page lists the UK alongside the US, Canada and Australia, and it has been listed at Costco UK. The free tier covers the calendar, tasks, lists and weather. The photo screensaver, meal planning and email import need Skylight Plus, which Skylight lists at $79 a year (read on Skylight's own pages on 14 October 2026; we couldn't verify a sterling price for Plus). All the Skylight alternatives compared
  • Hearth and Cozyla sell from US shops. Hearth's online shop prices the Hearth Display at $699, plus a membership from $7.20 a month on the annual plan, and we couldn't find UK delivery. Cozyla's own shop shows US prices only, from
69.99 for the Calendar Neo. Ordering either from the US means international postage, and import VAT and handling charges on arrival. (Prices checked on hearthdisplay.com and cozyla.com on 15 October 2026.) Only after photos? Frameo vs Skylight
  • Zenframe: one purchase, a year of Family included. Zenframe Display costs €329 (15.6″) or €229 (Mini 10.1″), plus €29 delivery to the UK. That includes one year of Zenframe Family — calendar, dinner plan, chores, routines, photos and the assistant. After that, the calendar, photos, clock and weather keep working in Basis, the free plan; Family is €8.99 a month if you want to keep the rest. Family only continues if you switch it on, and you can cancel at any time. See prices and order
  • Paid in euros — roughly £302 all in. There's no sterling price yet, so you pay in euros: €329 + €29 = €358, which is about £302 at the European Central Bank rate of 14 October 2026 (£0.84385 to the euro). The Mini comes to €258, about £218. Your card provider's exchange rate and any foreign transaction fee decide the final figure on your statement.
  • Ships from Norway, duties paid by us. UK orders ship from Norway by UPS. Checkout confirms the shipment goes DDP (delivered duty paid): we pay the import VAT and duties, so there's nothing to pay on the doorstep. Delivery time for each size and colour is shown at checkout.
  • Plug: you'll need a Type G adapter. The display comes with a European (Type C/F) plug on the power supply. A UK socket needs a Type G adapter, which isn't included — checkout says so before you pay, so there's no surprise when you open the box.
  • Google, Apple and Outlook calendars, in English. Google Calendar, iCloud and Outlook sync directly, and any club or school calendar with a shareable (iCal) link can be added too. The app and the display are in English, and the Zenframe app is on Google Play and the App Store in the UK.
  • 14 days to change your mind. You have 14 days from delivery to cancel, without giving a reason. The display goes back to us in Norway; return postage is yours to pay, and we refund the price including the original delivery charge. Returns and right of withdrawal
  1. Add up two years, not one. A calendar screen stays on the wall for years. Add the subscription you'd actually need to the device price, and include postage, plugs and returns before you decide.
  2. Pick a size and a colour. Display 15.6″ for the kitchen or Display Mini 10.1″ for the hall, in a black or white frame. Wall bracket, table stand and power supply are in the box; no UK adapter is included, so pick up an ordinary Type G adapter.
  3. Wi-Fi once, then the week fills itself in. Connect the calendars you already use and add the half-terms once as holiday periods. Change something on your phone and the wall updates within seconds.

The day at kid height — they check it themselves.

One tap on their own name and the display walks the child through their morning or evening routine step by step — with read-aloud for pre-readers and rewards that turn chores into something kids actually want to do. Adult settings sit safely behind a code. Kids mode ships with both models.

FAQ

Can you buy a Skylight Calendar in the UK?

Yes. Skylight ships to the UK, and it has been listed at Costco UK. Most of what goes beyond the calendar itself — photos, meal planning and email import — needs Skylight Plus, a yearly subscription.

Do you need a subscription for Skylight Calendar?

Not for the basic calendar, tasks, lists and weather. The photo screensaver, meal planning and email import need Skylight Plus, which Skylight lists at $79 a year. Zenframe Display includes the first year of Zenframe Family, and the calendar and photos keep working free afterwards.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Skylight Calendar?

It depends on how long you count. Zenframe Display Mini costs €229 and the 15.6″ display €329, plus €29 delivery, with a year of Family included and no subscription needed afterwards for the calendar and photos. Over two or three years, the subscription usually matters more than the device price.

What does Zenframe cost in pounds?

It's priced in euros: €329 + €29 delivery = €358, about £302 at the ECB rate of 14 October 2026. The Mini comes to €258, about £218. The exact amount on your statement depends on your card's exchange rate and fees.

Will I pay import VAT or customs on delivery?

No. UK orders ship from Norway by UPS, delivered duty paid (DDP), so the import VAT and duties are paid by us and there's nothing to pay when the parcel arrives.

Does it come with a UK plug?

No. The power supply has a European (Type C/F) plug, so you'll need a Type G adapter, which isn't included.

Can I get Hearth or Cozyla in the UK?

Neither has a UK shop that we could find. Both sell from US stores in dollars, so you'd be paying international postage plus import VAT and handling charges on arrival, and returns would go back to the US.

Can I return it if it isn't for us?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to cancel without giving a reason. The display goes back to us in Norway at your cost, and we refund the price including the original delivery charge.
