About this sheet

Halloween bingo is a picture bingo built around all things Halloween. Each square shows a fun, slightly spooky motif — a jack-o'-lantern, a ghost, a bat, a witch or a trick-or-treat bag — and the children tick them off as they spot them. Because the motifs are illustrated, even the youngest who can't read yet can join in the fun.

The game is perfect for the class party, a Halloween party at home and the run-up to trick-or-treating. Hand each child a board and they have something to do while you wait for it to get dark outside, or while the costumed guests arrive. The same motifs show up on the decorations, costumes and sweets, so children can tick plenty off right there at the party.

The sheet comes in three age versions: ages 4–6 with simple motifs like a pumpkin and a ghost; ages 7–9 with pictures and words; and ages 10–12 with more and slightly harder motifs, such as a cauldron and a haunted castle. Each board has 30 motifs and there are three unique boards per download, so siblings don't end up with the same board. Download the sheet free without signing in and print it on A4 at home.

What you get

  • A4 5×5 bingo boards with Halloween motifs: jack-o'-lantern, ghost, bat, witch, black cat and trick-or-treat bag.
  • Child-friendly, fun motifs — spooky enough to feel like Halloween, gentle enough for the youngest.
  • Pictures for the youngest and words for the oldest — three age levels ready to print.
  • Three unique boards per download, so siblings and classmates don't end up with the same board.
  • A name field at the top for tidy rounds at Halloween parties and class events.

How to use it

  1. Choose an age. Set the level for each player. The youngest get simple picture motifs; older children get more and slightly harder Halloween motifs.
  2. Print before the party. Print at home on a standard printer, one board per child. Put out pencils or felt-tips for ticking off.
  3. Play at the party. The children tick off the motifs they spot on the decorations, costumes and sweets. Decide whether a row or a full board wins, and let the winner pick first from the treat bowl.
